Transcript
Bilal: So the team potluck is a week Friday. I figured we'd do it in the third-floor lounge like last year. Renée: The lounge is booked for training that afternoon. I checked. The rooftop terrace is open, though, and it actually fits more people. Bilal: The terrace would be nice if the weather holds. What's the backup if it rains? Renée: We can keep the big boardroom on hold as a rain plan. It's free that day, and facilities only needs a day's notice to release it. Bilal: Smart. Now, the tricky part — three people on the team can't eat nuts, and we've got two who don't eat meat. Renée: Right. So instead of a free-for-all, let's run a sign-up sheet by category — mains, salads, desserts — and ask everyone to label allergens on a little card. Bilal: Labels are a must. Last year someone brought a peanut sauce with no warning and it was a near miss. Renée: Exactly why I want the cards. I'll make the sign-up sheet a shared document so people claim a slot and nobody brings five bowls of the same pasta salad. Bilal: Ha, the pasta-salad problem. I'll handle drinks and the plates and cutlery so nobody has to think about that part. Renée: Perfect. And let's say noon to two so the afternoon shift can still come up before they start.

What dietary issue do they need to plan around?
